​The NEON Emergency First Aid at Work training course, prepares individuals to provide treatment in emergency situations. This course is also a pre requisite for Security Industry Authority linked courses.

Who requires this qualification?
This qualification is specifically for those individuals who are to become an emergency first-aider in the workplace. This one-day qualification meets the requirements of both the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

To enrol on any SIA security training course as a minimum you must have this qualification with at least 12 months remaining on your certificate.
What does the qualification cover?
The course is divided into 7 different learning outcomes.

1) Understanding the role and responsibilities of a first aider.
2) Be able to assess an emergency situation safely.
3) Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty.
4) Be able to provide first aid to a casualty who is choking.
5) Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding.
6) Know how to provide first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock.
7) Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries.
How are you assessed?
This qualification is assessed by a practical assessment and multiple-choice examination.
